“This is the best place in and surrounding areas of Newquay if you are a serious board gamer/ cards player/ table top warrior or general enthusiast! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and love to talk board games and they have a good selection of everything you might want to check out. I visited with my son and he got what he was looking for (some sort of complex Gundam model?) and I scanned through their selection of games for sale which I must admit I was impressed with! Pretty much everything to cater for everyone. I love that they have rooms for people to meet up in and honestly they are so approachable and kind that I found myself really wanting their business to flourish. Anyone any age beginner or pro will find something here to float their gaming boat. Well done guys! You’ve nailed it beautifully!”

“Popped in today after only just learning of the place! Kieran, the owner was really lovely and welcoming, and the shop has such a wonderfully eclectic collection of indie games, minis, and adventures. They even have a gumball machine for dice! They also have some great looking private play rooms for TTRPG, styled to make a gaming session great. Kieran is clearly passionate, and he's trying hard to make a flgs work in 2026, a mean feat by any estimate. I'll definitely be back to support them, and while they are off the beaten path, don't be intimidated, well worth a visit. Now, what to do about this itch to run a game...”

“Modular Worlds is honestly one of my favourite places to spend time. It’s my go-to spot for D&D, and the atmosphere there just makes every session better. It’s welcoming, relaxed, and full of people who actually love the games they’re playing. I also really like that you can pick up Magic: The Gathering cards and other games while you’re there. It’s dangerous for the wallet in the best possible way. You pop in for a session and leave with a new deck idea brewing in your head. On top of that, they do food and drinks, which makes it easy to settle in for a proper evening without having to disappear halfway through. There’s something great about rolling dice with a drink next to you and good company around the table. It’s more than just a shop. It feels like a proper community hub for tabletop gamers. I’m genuinely glad it exists, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys D&D, MTG, or just being around people who get it.”
