Armageddon: Season of Fire

Jude Reid's Armageddon novel follows three defenders of a dying hive world as the ork tide closes in: a Guard major holding a doomed wall, a Sister Superior guarding a saint's relics as something worse than orks stirs beneath the city, and a young Blood Angel fighting for revenge among the ruins.

It is a Warhammer 40,000 story about desperate choices rather than easy heroics, told from three sides of the same collapsing battle.
